No. 24 Lavender Pu Erh Milk Tea + Panda Pearl (薰衣普洱奶茶 + 熊貓珍珠)

Since having tried Presotea teas I found that they have really extraordinary tea creations. My today's tea is quite special as well, since it was Lavender Pu Erh Tea with Panda Boba. Now, what is Panda Boba? Actually, it is only black boba and white boba mixed, but I think the name is chosen so well, that you actually want to buy a drink with it. Regarding the Lavender Pu Erh Tea I must say, that on the one side I am really happy to finally have found Pu Erh milk tea, on the other side I don't like lavender flavour. I'm just not into the flowery tea. However, it seems that it is not possible to only get the Pu Erh tea without the lavender, since all three drinks having Pu Erh tea also have lavender. That might be due to the fact that Presotea uses tea bags to infuse their tea. However, they do not put tea bags in the cups or alike, no, they use the espresso technique which I find truly amazing. Since I don't know how a espresso machine works or how to operate one, I can only wonder wether it would be possible to use this technique with loose tea as well.

No. 23 Honey Melon Matcha Smoothie (甜瓜抹茶冰沙)

After a yesterday's proposition of my good friend Bea, I tried Presotea today for my first time. And I chose a tea, which I haven't seen anywhere else up to now: Melon Matcha Smoothie. As a great lover of Matcha I just had to try this drink. And since it is going to be colder soon, I should try it as long as it is still hot enough. I loved this drink! Because it has Matcha, it is green, it is frozen and it has melon. So, I really think it is like the perfect drink for hot summer days. And due to the great amount of ice in it you cannot really drink it very fast. So, the drink will even last longer.

No. 22 Tangerine Green Tea (桔子綠)

After investing a lot of time translating the whole menu of 50 Lan yesterday, I felt very well prepared. So, ordering a tea I haven't had before was even easier. This was Tangerine Green Tea. It was really way too sour. I even asked the clerk, wether sugar free would be ok for that drink. But unfortunately, I couldn't really understand what she was answering. So, I tried to drink it but couldn't finish it until my home, where I had to put some sugar in it. All in all, the drink itself wasn't bad. I mean, it had real fruit juice in it, but still, it really needs some sugar to be enjoyable.

No. 21 Boba Milk Tea (波霸奶茶)

Today, I compared my small card which I use to cross out the drinks I already had at 50 Lan with the menu card lying out at the store and came to the conclusion that they differ from each other. However, I did not really figure out in which way exactly. So, I was quite confused today and just ordered something of which I didn't know the characters. I know it was milk tea, but I couldn't figure out the topping. That was until I got it. It turned out to be Boba Milk tea. On that way, I learnt that pearl tea has small tapioca starch pearls whereas boba tea has big tapioca starch pearls. But when I ordered bubble tea the last time they put big bubbles in my drinks after asking whether I'd like small or big bubbles. It was kind of upsetting having stepped back a bit on my project due to my language problems. So, I had the amazing motivation of translating the whole menu in the evening. For 3 hours! However, I now understood the structure of it and know that basicaly, there are three ways to get a black milk tea. First, milk tea, second black tea latte und third, black tea macchiato. They all end up being tea with milk, but milk tea usually uses powder while latte uses real milk and macchiato is simply foamed milk. And I found out why some of the drinks I pointed on were not possible to get sugar free. These are honey green tea and caramel milk tea. Of course, there is sugar in them. It is really fascinating how a whole new world opens up after investing so much effort.

Regarding the tea, I can only repeat, what I wrote for my first bubble tea: I love sugar free milk tea with sweet big bubbles. That is the ultimate original.

No. 20 Pudding Milk Tea (布丁奶茶)

Today, I ordered pudding milk tea. It is one of the most expensive drinks on the menu and therefore I had quite high expectations. The milk tea was sugar free, which contrasted the super sweet pudding (ready made out of a cup) a lot. While drinking this tea I honestly wondered who actually had the idea of putting pudding into their milk tea, since the pudding doesn't adopt to the milk tea surrounding at all. I mean, it is really milk tea with pieces of pudding. It is not like the ice cream black tea, where the ice cream melts into the tea. And you cannot really drink the tea together with the pudding. Either you get a strawful of pudding or just milk tea without pudding, which is quite strange due to their different sugar levels. I think it is clear, that my exitement for this drink is not that great. It isn't that bad, though. I mean, it is THE drink for hungry people, who haven't gotten used to the tapioca starch balls yet.
