Today, I tried a fruit tea for the first time since being in Taiwan. With fruit tea not being real tea, but a tisane, I think it still fits into my project and therefore can be reviewed as well. The drink I had was blackberry tisane with calpis. After some recherching I found that calpis is a japanese drink similar to Yakult, having a yoghurt basis, or at least a milky flavour. Although, I got the sugar free version it was still somehow sweet, but that didn't bother me that much. All in all it was not a bad drink, but somehow boring in its flavour. I mean, it wasn't real tea, but it wasn't real juice or fruit milk either. It's a kind of neutral drink. Furthermore, it was a little strange to finally drink a fruit tisane in Taiwan, since it seems to me that it tastes quite different what I am used to in Germany. But at least I found a tea drink with fruit tisane as a basis. I haven't found herbal infusions or rooibos tisanes yet.
