No. 67 Kiwi Green Tea + Perilla

Today, I went to a new place again. Actually, this place has been recommended to me several times already. However, since it is rather a juice place than a tea place I didn't go there until now. Today, I decided to give it a try. They had a large variety of fresh juices mixed with tea. But I created my own drink with asking them to mix the kiwi juice with green tea. Not only was I surprised that they actually made me that drink without any hesitations, but they added perilla to it as well. And it had real kiwi pieces in there. It was an amazing drink. I should go there more often. Not for creating new drinks, though. That might be quite annoying.

No. 66 Winter Melon Qing Tea (冬瓜清茶)

Winter melon is a fruit I got to know quite early being in Taiwan. This is because several restaurants offer winter melon tea as a free drink to meals. But it is usually really really really sweet. And it is a seasonal thing that Ching Shin offers tea drinks with winter melon. So, I chose one today. They used some kind of winter melon sirup, so it was rather sweet but luckily not as sweet as pure winter melon tea. Since I was really full from my dinner, I couldn't finish that drink and gave it to my dad.

No. 65 Banana Milk Tea (香蕉奶茶)

Today, I had another milk tea. But with banana. So, it is a fruit tea and a milk tea at one time! And it had real banana in it. I loved that drink. It is really filling and really yummy. Since the banana is sweet already no additional sugar is needed.

No. 64 Lover's Tea (情人茶)

Everytime I go to a tea shop I have been to many times before it's getting harder and harder to find a tea I haven't had anywhere else yet. And when I'm not prepared well enough my out of the blue decision might turn out to be nothing new at all. But, I think I was lucky today. I chose the lover's tea. Because of the name. It was one of the things that I could read without really knowing what it is. It turned out to be green tea with a shot of lemon and some dried plum swimming in it. I think I had some similar drink before, but not exactly the same. Since the lemon juice was freshly squeezed and I chose sugar free, it was rather sour, but still fine.

No. 63 Strawberry Green Tea

At Shilin night market, to which I went today, I tried a new tea drink. It's nothing too special, but still new, since I haven't seen strawberry green tea anywhere else yet. Unfortunately, the strawberry pulp was not from fresh strawberries but from sirup. The taste was still really good. I liked it.

No. 62 Anhui Kinmen Milk Tea

Today, I had another milk tea. And, honestly, it's getting boring. Somehow. Like, when it is only tea and milk there is not really anything special to it anymore. Black tea with milk tastes like tea with milk.

No. 61 Taro Milk Tea

Since a few days already, I've started loving taro in all its forms. It all started with taro ice cream. And after taro candy and taro man tou I now had to try taro milk tea. The funny thing is that this drink is actually not available at so many tea stores. But near my university there is at least Ching Shin having this kind of drink in their menu. And it's great.

No. 60 Cream Cheese Milk Tea

Cream cheese and tea in one cup? Yes! When I saw that drink, I had to try it at once. The cheese itself was lightly sweet and very creamy. But since I chose my tea to be sugar free, that was quite nice. However, the cheese did not dissolve into the tea that well, so that on the top there was a really creamy yummy white fluff while the tea was plain and a little bitter. Since the tea came in a dome lid cup, I couldn't even shake ist, so stirring was the only option to try mixing the tea with the cheese.

No. 59 Ginger Milk Tea

If there is one drink that is THE winter milk tea it is definitely that one. Ginger and milk in one tea, that has to get you warm at once. And it does. Even without added sugar this drink is still quite sweet, maybe they used ginger sirup or someting in that way. However, the ginger is great. It is kind of spicy, but an amazingly warm spicy. A winter spicy. So, no I know, what to drink, when I feel like nothing else can warm me up anymore.

No. 58 Pu Erh + Nata de Coco (普洱茶+椰果)

Although I had pu erh yesterday already, I decided to try another pu erh at ching shin today because I really really love pu erh and think that too few tea shops actually use it. I topped mine with nata de coco, which wasn't the greatest idea since it really destroyed the natural taste of my beloved pu erh.

No. 57 Lavender Pu Erh Tea (薰衣普洱茶)

After a long time not having had a pure tea, I opted for this pu erh today. This was mainly because my stomach was still really filled up with my lunch, so I wasn't in the mood for any topping or milk tea. I had this tea iced but still without sugar. I loved it that way. It has an earthy taste, which is great for afternoon tea. I think it goes really well with some cake, which we had.

No. 56 Lemon Ice Tea + Panda Boba (鮮檸檬綠茶+熊貓珍珠)

My parents arrived today, so it might get a little difficult to really try a new drink every day, since I would like to introduce them to my favourites so far. So, after supplying them with a Mango Qing Cha and an Iced Milk Coffee at 50Lan, I treated myself to a Lemon Tea at Presotea. Since Lemon Tea alone would be a little boring and since my mom asked for some bubbles to see, I ordered my favourite: Panda Boba. In comparison to the 50 Lan Lemon tea this one was rather sweet, although they claimed to have used real lemon juice as well. Although my love to Panda Boba is truly infinite, I would choose 50 Lan's Lemon Tea next time.

No. 55 Matcha Ice Cream Green Tea Milk Tea (抹茶冰淇淋奶茶綠)

Today I finally had my long desired matcha ice cream green tea. And since it is weekend and many many people felt like having a tea, I waited for that cup for at least 15min! And then it was just good and not awsome. The ice cream melted too fast, but it had a great taste. However, the tea was rather lame. It was normal jasmine green tea. Maybe a Matcha Latte with matcha ice cream would have been like the coolest thing on earth!

No. 54 Apple Iced Tea (蘋果冰茶)

After the first not-so-good-experience with tea from come buy I decided to give it another try and order the apple iced tea, since I haven't seen this kind of drink anywhere else yet. It turned out to be a great drink. Akthough, I think they used sirup or at least fruit concentrate, its taste was rather natural. And even the topping tasted like apple pieces although they didn't really look like apple. The sugar free version turned out to be just perfect, since the applejuice or concentrate was sweet enough.

No. 53 White Peach Honey Oolong Tea (白桃蜜烏龍)

I tried another tea store chain today and opted for the peach tea. Since it had honey in the name I assumed it is not possible to have the tea fully sugar free and so I ordered it with little sugar. The peach was actually fruit flesh. Or pieces that ressembled it. The smell was great, the taste was weird. The peach pieces swimming in the drink were far to sour and the oolong tea itself was far too bitter. It was not such a good start for come buy.

No. 52 Passion Fruit Black Tea + Nata de Coco (鮮百香茶+椰果)

Today, I chose the passion fruit tea and since I really needed some topping I put nata de coco in it. I loved it. That is really a good drink. And the black tea seems not to be as bitter as the green tea. The cool thing about this drink is, that there is no problem having the tea without sugar. Since the nata de coco is sweet enough it really is a refreshing and hopefully still healthy tea drink.
